Top Ten - Los 10 nombres más populares para niñas y niños en el 2022

Abajo tienen la lista con los 10 nombres más populares para chicas y chicos durante el 2022. 

El nombre de chica Alice había sido el más popular durante 6 años seguidos, pero ahora cae al octavo puesto. Ahora el nombre más común para las chicas es Astrid.

En cuanto a los chicos, Noah fue el más popular en 2021. Ahora es reemplazado por William.

Kladdkaka!

 Kladdkaka - Bizcocho pegajoso

Hay un postre sueco (o pastel para el café, Swedish fika) que me encanta. ¡KLADDKAKA!

Está muy bueno. Y además, es muy fácil de hacer. El otro día hice uno con mi tío.

Kladdkaka de Mats y Amelia

Este nombre, kladdkaka, proveniene del verbo kladda, que sería algo como embadurnar o pegar (en el sentido de unir) y kaka que es la palabra sueca para galleta, bollo o bizcocho (aquí casi todo es kaka, una palabra que no suena nada apetecible en castellano). Así que la traducción sería algo como bizcocho pegajoso. Tiene esa textura porque no lleva levadura ninguna.

Los ingredientes para 12-16 porciones

100 gramos de mantequilla

250 ml de azúcar refinado

2 huevos

150 ml de harina de trigo

3 cucharadas medianas de cacao

1 cucharadita de vainilla en polvo

¡Qué rica la masa! 😁😁

INSTRUCCIONES

- Calentar el horno a 175º

- Derretir la mantequilla en la olla

- Batir consistentemente el azúcar y los huevos en la misma olla

- Batir el resto de ingredientes con los anteriores hasta que estén bien mezclados

- Colocar la masa en un recipiente untado en mantequilla de unos 20 centímetros de diámetro

- Hornearlo en el centro del horno durante 20 minutos

- Dejarlo reposar

- Espolvorear azúcar glasé y servirlo con nata montada, helado o fruta

Hours of light - Horas de luz

 Pocas horas de luz en invierno

No hay muchas horas de luz ahora mismo en Suecia. En Estocolmo ahora mismo:

Anochecer: 15:15

6 horas y 39 minutos de luz solar

Y es que estamos muy al norte. Concretamente, unos 1.035 km al sur del Circulo Polar.

Skábma - La Noche Polar

Más al norte, al norte del Circular Polar, acaban de vivir una cosa que llaman SKÁBMA (es una palabra sami) y es la Noche Polar. Es una época del año cuando no sale el sol nunca. Es de noche 24 horas. 

Por ejemplo, en la ciudad de Kiruna, en el extremo norte de Suecia, la noche polar dura unos 28 días, prácticamente todo el mes de diciembre. Empiezan a ver el sol de nuevo a principios de enero.

At the moment, there isn´t much sunlight in Sweden. In Stockholm right now (11th of January):

6 hours and 39 minutes of sunlight.

But we are of course very far up north. To be exact, some 1,035 south of the Arctic Circle.

Further up north in Sweden, north of the Arctic Circle, they have just lived another SKÁBMA (a Sami word), that is the Arctic Night or Polar Night. It´s a time of the year when the sun does not rise above the horizon. It´s complete darkness 24 hours per day.

For example, in the city of Kiruna,

Kaamos - Darkness / Oscuridad

Kaamos es una palabra finesa (pero también se usa en el norte de Suecia) que significa "oscuridad" pero también se usa para el periodo del año cuando no sale el sol, la Noche Polar.

Kaamos is a Finnish word (but it´s also used in the north of Sweden) which means "darkness", But it´s also used for the time of the year when the sun doesn´t rise, The Polar Night.

For some reason, the train to Stockholm departs from some strange plattform far, far away.... A 15 minute walk, in the rain.

Por alguna extraña razón, el tren para Estocolmo sale de una andén que está en el quinto pino. Hay que andar 15 minutos, y en nuestro caso, bajo la lluvia.

It also implies walking up and down stairs with all the luggage, to cross the railway tracks. Because the elevators did not work.

También implicaba subir y bajar la escalera con todo el equipaje, para cruzar las vías de tren. Porque los ascensores estaban averiados.

Now we know why it was so complicated: Swedish trains do not have the same track gauge as Danish trains! So there is a special track for the Swedish trains. And it´s far away...

Ahora sabemos porque tantas complicaciones: los trenes suecos no tienen el mismo ancho de vía que los trenes daneses! Por lo tanto, hay una vía especial para los trenes suecos. Y está leeeeejos.

The train station in Hamburg is huge! This is a city of some 3 million people. We only had one hour in Hamburg so not a lot of time but we explored the German bread and pastry, yummy!

La estación de tren en Hamburgo es gigantesca! Es una ciudad de unos 3 milliones de personas. Sólo teníamos 1 hora entre trenes en Hamburgo así que no tuvimos mucho tiempo. Pero hemos explorado el pan y la pastelería alemana un poco, qué rico!

The personel on the train woke us up at 06:30 (arrival in Hamburg, Germany at 07:56). A bit early but it was because they invited us for breakfast!

El personal del tren nos despertaron a las 06:30 (llegada a Hamburgo, Alemania a las 07:56). Un poco temprano quizá pero era porque nos iban a invitar a desayunar!

We slept surprisingly well during the night. The sound and the movement of the train make you sleepy!

During the breakfast we were talking to one of our cabin mates, a boy from Switzerland. He was going to Kiel, Germany because he studies at the university there. Very friendly!

Hemos dormido sorprendemente bien. El ruido y el movimiento del tren hace que te entre sueño!

Durante en desayuno hemos hablado con uno de nuestros compañeros de camarote, un chico de Suiza. Iba a Kiel en Alemania porque estudia en la universidad allí. Muy simpático!

Day #2 continues... We keep on moving towards our goal but first we are going a bit in the wrong direction. We are heading slightly southeast, from Paris in France to Basel in Switzerland.

Basel is right on the Swiss-German border.

We are taking a night train from Basel to Hamburg. This leg of the trip will last almost 10 hours! 

We will sleep in a cabin with 6 bunk beds. In the end we were 5 people in the cabin, so little space. We had to store most of our luggage in another place.

And the beds are extremely narrow, I wonder how we are going to sleep this night...

Vamos a dormir en un camarote con 6 literas. Al final seremos 5 personas en el camarote, qué poco espacio, por favor! Hemos tenido que guardar casi todas nuestras cosas en otro sitio, bajo llave.

Y las literas son super estrechas, a ver cómo vamos a dormir esta noche...

The first leg of our journey is by the French High Speed Train, TGV.

Barcelona - The capital of Catalonia

Arrival in Barcelona, a bit late. Another train before us broke down and they had to evacuate the passengers and tow the train off the tracks. So we got 45 minutes delayed. But today this wasn´t an issue: we had plenty of time since we were going to stay in the city over the night. This because there were no trains to Paris this afternoon.

There are plenty of things to see in the Catalan capital. We took the metro from Sants Train Station, to the centre of Barcelona. We went to visit Casa Battló, which was designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. More info about this fantastic building here: CASA BATTLÓ

The church La Sagrada Familia

Next, we were off to another building designed by Antoni Gaudí. The amazing church La Sagrada Familia (The Holy Family). They started building it in 1882 and eventhough Gaudí died in 1926, they have kept on building it ever since (with a few stops). We wonder if they will ever finish...

In any case, it´s a crazy building, with a million details to look at.

Sushi for dinner

We came back early to the hotel, we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow. On Sunday 8th of January we will travel Barcelona > Paris > Basel > Hamburg. That is going to be close to 2,000 km!!
